About Me

SOOoooo stumbled apon this page have you? Guess I better tell ya somethin' then.
Alright well, some background then!

So I started into ham radio around June 24, 2022 (yes I like exact dates) when I got my first UV-5R. Not the best first radio I must say but it was a start. Anyway I talked to some hams about an hour away during my first ham meeting and thought I'd get my license. Well guess I had my hopes up too high because I never did, well until July 24, 2025 (wow, over 3 years later!)
Then I finally got to talk to some hams around the area!

And so of course, as most hams do, they find the wonders of HF! And I was hooked! About 6 months later in January 23, 2026, I got my general.
After that I was all over the place... until around May 14, 2026 where my paper logs dry up.
Yeah, guess that noise kinda got to me, to be fair I had around an S6 all the time and almost no contacts out of the US. I still have that noise, of course it has a dropped a tiny bit after the power company came out.

So now the new antenna!
I've been working on a new cobweb antenna (check the R&D page), which apparently has a lower noise level and will be a lot futher from the house.
I'm going to have to start like a journal on here now, lol.
